Bought a guitar combo for street performances :)

I decided that its just the right time to start busking this summer. So I started my search for a cool guitar combo able to play audio/drum loops.

At first I checked the Roland MicroCube, but my bari sax was pretty much louder than the combo playing drum loops, so there was no way I could use it all right. But MicroCube is: lightweight, can be powered by 6 AA batteries, and has cool sound for playing guitar queitly.

Then I tried Vox da10 (used, this model is not manufactured any longer, as far as I know). Thanks to Ilya Karmanov for giving it away for as low as 115$.
It can operate using batteries (6 C type ones).
It is loud enough to make.., actually I think it is loud as hell 🙂 10W compared to 1-2W of the Microcube..
Well what this combo can simultaneously is:
– guitar with effects: gain, reverb, delay, …
– mic with no effects
– aux (mp3 player or whatever), but it sounds too quiet

Also, thanks to my friend Konstantin for incorporating a huge accumulator into this combo. Now it can run for say 40-50 hours approximately but we haven’t checked that yet 🙂

Well, I ‘ll post videos of our live street sessions as soon as we make some 🙂
